Project XII

2021 left me feeling creatively uninspired. For 2022 I set a challenge for myself to create 12 short video projects, one each month (production through post production) either mostly or entirely by myself. The main goal of this challenge is to get back into the habit of creating things for myself, while doing some skill building along the way. I planned a variety of experimental videos and other genres that would expand my skill set and help me to step out of my comfort zone. Towards the end of the year this started to feel more like a chore than a creative exercise, yet I pushed through mostly to prove to myself that I am capable of whatever I set my mind to. I completed my challenge with one small hiccup; I learned a lot of new skills and techniques, and about how I prefer to make experimental videos, and that leaves me feeling proud of myself.
